Winter 2025/26 Opening Day

Mount Washington opens for our 2025/26 winter season on Friday, December 12th! We're so stoked to kick off our season with you. Our lifts will start spinning from 9 am through to 3 pm, conditions permitting of course!

Ted's Funky Forecast Season Opener Party

Take a trip to Funkytown with us on Opening Weekend for 70's food, 70's prices, and 100% chance of funk & soul! On Saturday, December 13th, gusts of groove are expected all day long for Ted's Funky Forecast Party at Mount Washy; from serving up throwback eats to late-night beats, and a funk advisory is in effect until midnight. The Season Opener celebration brings our community together to hype up the winter ahead. Ted's Funky Forecast is presented by Vancouver Island Brewing .

The Whiskey Jack lift will be NOC-turning 3:30 - 9pm starting Thursday, December 18th and running daily throughout the holiday period until January 4, 2026 .

Elves Solstice Sessions: Ski Free, Après & Late Night
Mount Washington Alpine Resort
Get your festive costume ready...We’re bringing back a long-lost Washy holiday favourite! Elves Ski Free, this time, on Winter Solstice with celebrations from après to late night. On Sunday, December 21, the first 100 guests to lineup dressed in full Elf costumes by 8am will get early loading privileges to take part in our video filming from 8:30–10am and will receive a free lift ticket for that day. After a Sunday of fun on the slopes, every one is welcome to join us in Ted's Bar dressed in their festive elf best for après and to rave until late night with local DJ's of the Sitka Sound Collective .

Mount Washington's party in Ted's Bar and Grill to ring in the New Year. Included in your ticket price is entertainment, NYE party favours and a glass of bubbly to celebrate the 2026 New Year! Enjoy Night Skiing 3:30 - 9 pm, and the fireworks display outside at 9 pm.

Mount Washington Professional Ski Patrol is partnering with Avalanche Canada to bring Avalanche Awareness Day to Mount Washington. All ages and abilities can join us out front of the Alpine Lodge and speak to professionals, learning about snow safety in our mountain environment. Stay tuned for more details!
