Comox Valley Pickleball Association

The Comox Valley Pickleball Association has been promoting the sport in the region since 2015. They’re a non-profit focused on growing pickleball locally, developing facilities, and helping members improve their skills and enjoy the game. The association organizes both competitive and non-competitive play across seven venues in the Valley, mixing serious tournament play with social events like their annual Christmas Play Day and Potluck Dinner.
Play happens at four indoor locations—Comox Community Centre, Cumberland Recreation Centre, 19 Wing Fitness & Community Centre, and Native Sons Hall in Courtenay—plus three outdoor facilities: Rotary Highland Courts (six dedicated courts), Martin Park (five courts), and Village Park in Cumberland (two courts). The association runs a training academy for skill development and tracks tournament results annually. Beginners are welcome and can access educational resources to get started.
Membership goes through Pickleball Canada, and the association maintains a code of conduct for play. They offer merchandise and member benefits. If you’re curious about pickleball or already play and want to connect with the local community, reach out at [email protected]. With seven venues and regular play schedules, there are plenty of opportunities to get on a court.
