Comox Valley Probus Club

The Comox Valley Probus Club is a social organization for retired and semi-retired professionals looking for friendship, fellowship, and fun. PROBUS stands for “Professional and Business,” and the club is part of a worldwide network of similar groups. If you’re no longer working full time and want to stay socially active, this is what Probus is designed for.
The club meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 10am to 11:30am at Native Sons Hall in Courtenay. Beyond monthly meetings, they organize a wide range of activities: H’appy Hours, book clubs, walking groups, bridge, wine tasting, movie nights, theatre trips, garden tours, excursions, arts and crafts sessions, cooking classes, and paint or chalk lessons. The variety gives members options to participate in whatever interests them.
They’re actively welcoming new members and make it clear the focus is on social connection rather than formal business. If you’re interested in joining, reach out through their Contact Us page on the website to learn about membership.
