Comox Valley United Soccer Club (CVUSC)

Comox Valley United Soccer Club (CVUSC)

The Comox Valley United Soccer Club runs youth and adult soccer programs across the region, operating seven fields including Valley View, Woodcote, Highland, and Vanier Turf (their main location is on Lerwick Road in Courtenay). For youth, they offer recreational soccer through the Valley Youth Soccer League, more competitive programming through the Pacific Development League for U12-U18 players, and the West Coast League for select U14-U18 teams. They also run the United Development Program, Performance (BCSPL) teams, Super Soccer Saturday sessions, summer camps, and indoor futsal. Adult leagues are available for both men and women.

The club operates multiple seasons throughout the year, spring and fall for youth leagues, with registration typically opening in early January for fall season members. They make financial assistance available for families who need it, partnering with programs like KidSport and Jumpstart to keep soccer accessible. Tim Hortons Timbits sponsors some programs, and the club receives support from BC Soccer and provincial gaming funds.

CVUSC actively looks for volunteer coaches and offers BC Soccer certification pathways and coaching clinics for skill development. They occasionally post paid positions like Technical Team Assistant roles as well. With seven fields across the Valley and programming from young kids through adults, it’s one of the main organized soccer options in the region. The club emphasizes both recreational participation and competitive development, so there are pathways for players at different skill levels and commitment levels.
