Cumberland stands out for its recreation offerings and outdoor access. There’s a climbing wall facility and drop-in adult social clubs. The community also benefits from access to the Cumberland Community Forest and world-class mountain biking trails managed in partnership with local organizations. The village uses a “Waste Wise Wizard” tool to help residents figure out recycling and disposal questions.
Council meetings are open to the public, and the village runs a digital engagement platform for community input on local decisions. If you need municipal services, permits, or want to participate in recreation programs, contact the village office or check cumberland.ca for schedules, registration, council agendas, and service information. The village maintains active social media on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for community updates.
